While I am not Methodist and have no plans to change to be one, I would both put a caution on their writings, and give the recommendation to use them. Methodism came from John Wesley, who came from the Anglican church. Their issue was seeing people supposedly saved, but living nothing like a saved person. Therefore, they emphasized holiness, and from this movement, groups like Nazarenes, Pentecostals, etc. all came from them. So this movement is involved highly in “emotions”. But some of their authors are just irreplaceable like E.M. Bounds works on Prayer, Andrew Murray, etc. I would highly recommend them, but again, take everything with a grain of salt and compare it to Scripture.
