This is a brief commentary on the 23rd Psalm. Miller is brethren and in this commentary on Psalm 23, he looks specifically at verse 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

Ps 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Ps 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Ps 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Ps 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Ps 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

According to this verse, the souls of the dead are not still walking the earth after their death, but they are in heaven or hell, also see Luke 16:19-31. God imposes limitations on what is possible, and God prohibits the dead from returning to earth.
If we understand that there is God who alone is the only Supreme Being, and then His will is important. But God wants us (human beings) to obey Him voluntarily. In Catholicism, they accept and teach that the Lord God of the Bible exists, but they think that they have a way to achieve their own will even if God just says no. This way is through the virgin Mary (and the saints in a lesser degree).
