Henry Law (1797-1884) was a leading figure in the Evangelical Party of the Church of England in the early nineteenth century. He was also a prolific practical teacher of the Scripture.

He was also a prolific practical teacher of the Scripture who wrote The Gospel in the Pentateuch (see the individual books from this below). Spurgeon correctly noted with characteristic wit, but obvious truth, “Law abounds in the gospel.” Others have since described Law as the “Most Christ-centered author”.
